The goal of the think tank is to highlight Jewish perspectives without reducing Jewish people to those affected by anti-Semitism or (secondary) victims of the Shoah.” As in prior projects, Sebastian Jung opens up this space as an artistic gesture. Nine people are invited to talk about their lives and work. In short texts, they shine a spotlight on traditions, divisions, and conflicts involved in Jewish life in Eastern Germany. The goal is to present diverse perspectives and learn about Jewish culture. Writers were selected by Sebastian Jung and Ella Falldorf, with advice from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
